ISO 14001 Recertification — TERA Reaffirms Commitment to Environmental Manufacturing
2025/10/01 Quality TeamTERA Plastics has successfully maintained its ISO 14001:2008 environmental management certification, reaffirming our commitment to reducing environmental impact across our injection molding, tooling, and secondary operations.
ISO 14001 — Environmental Management in Precision Manufacturing
TERA Plastics has maintained ISO 14001:2008 environmental management system certification alongside our ISO 9001:2008 quality and IATF 16949:2016 automotive certifications.
ISO 14001 certification requires manufacturers to systematically identify and manage their environmental impact — covering energy consumption, waste generation, chemical handling, and process emissions. For injection molders, this includes:
- Monitoring and reducing energy consumption per production cycle
- Proper management and disposal of plastic regrind, purge material, and packaging waste
- Controlling and documenting use of coatings, solvents, and plating chemicals in secondary operations
- Setting measurable environmental improvement targets and tracking progress
Why this matters to customers
More buyers — especially in Europe, Japan, and North America — now require their supply chain partners to hold valid environmental certifications. ISO 14001 is increasingly a prerequisite for supplier qualification at automotive OEMs and global electronics brands.
TERA's triple certification (ISO 9001 + ISO 14001 + IATF 16949) means customers can qualify us as a supplier without additional audit burden — a meaningful advantage for procurement teams managing complex, multi-supplier programs.
